Palo Verde's are Planted!

Bailey and I worked our little butts off the last two days getting the trees planted, plumbing the kitchen sink, installing windows and locks and hanging this sun shade.
Johna from the BLM came out this morning and although she is not a fan of anything planted there that is not native to the Carrizo, she loved the trees.
Thanks to Shaw, Nettie and Nancy for donating towards this little project!!!

Congratulations on the step that will be the marker of time, as the trees grow you will have the sense of botanical accomplishment, that you are creating your HideAway HomeStead with the vital shade. Well done!

Thanks Pat.
There is a feeling of permanence and commitment with this step.
Now I just need to find water!
Speaking with Craig Deutsche on Tuesday, he knows water is not very deep all along the base of the Caliente Range and showed me where many of the other ranches drilled for good drinkable water.
