We just received the Percussion Well Bit yesterday and hopefully the Bailer soon from a SB Local Welder. 58#'s of the finest steel he had lying around! (If any of you are looking for a welder, let me know.) On a tripod there will be a rope on a pulley that we will use to raise and drop this bit into the earth (up to 200' if we have to) to find good water. The process is a little more involved than that, but you can "nerd out" below if you wanna know the entire process of finding water. Keeping this guzzler full in the summer without trucking out water is my only goal. If we hit an Artesian Drinking Water Well, so much the better! We'll keep you posted.... I also just received a post on our website from a Quail Hunter who lives in Monterrey. This past weekend was the Quail season opener. He reported that the guzzler was full after the deluge this past week, the Palo Verde Trees look great and that he loves the Hideout. No Quail reported, but he's hopeful that after a couple rainy seasons, they will be back. Learn about Percussion Well Digging
