Carrizo Clouds

The clouds this weekend were stunning and my camera did not want to stop shooting pics. Zoom in on a few of these shots to get some of the detail (especially of the Praying Mantis, which was only 3cm long).
Jeff wired up the trailer and we now have interior lighting and outlets working. Thanks Jeff!
The Traver Ranch House is secured again for the time being and I was finally able to look around a little more. Love the old Outhouse, but did not use it :-)

Great photos of clouds, nature, wildflowers, wildlife and history of a landscape that has been near and dear to my heart and soul and spirit for 28 years. Peace, Roy

You are capturing the beauty of the landscape even as you do your bit to make it more accessible and hospitable.

Are you willing to share any of these photos to be used in the Friends of Carrizo Plain's Visitor's Guide? We will be collecting articles and photos soon for the 2016 issue.

I'm so glad I saw an update to your LinkedIn account. I checked it out, and now I'm checking this site out!!

Todd, these photos are stunning!

They're all incredible, but I have to admit I'm particularly drawn to the old buildings and farm machinery.A good part of my life in the Midwest was spent riding horses out in the country. The stable was surrounded by privately owned farms; small, medium, large, some with livestock and some without.
Riding on horseback is such a wonderful way to to see and interact with the environment. How else would I have known that pigs get crazy excited when they see horses and run up and down the length of their fence similar to dogs in a yard?!? Tks!!

There are several abandoned ranches at CPNM with literally tons of old farm equipment. I've had so much fun exploring all of this and doing what I can to help BLM in managing all of this CA history.
Any interest in putting together a volunteer work/play party out there before it gets too hot?
